Games for Kids
I’ve been counting the days before mom can finally get her new CPU. What makes me more excited is the good news she had shared just yesterday that she’ll be teaching me to play the mac games. Actually, there are more Games for kids that I could play. While enjoying all these games, mom also added that I have to understand the global warning. Hmmm… this seems to be a real exciting experience.

Teaching Kids How to Eat...
- Bread and butter. Place a small slice of butter on your bread plate. Break off a bite-size piece of bread, butter it with your butter knife, replace the knife across your bread plate and enjoy your morsel of bread.
- Soup. Dip your soup spoon away from you and into the opposite side of the bowl. Tipping your bowl to get every drop of soup is usually not okay, nor is wiping your bowl clean with a piece of bread.
- Salad. Salads should already be in bite-size pieces, but if you're faced with, say, a huge piece of lettuce, it's okay to cut it with your knife and fork.
- Food that has to be cut. With your fork in your left hand and your knife in your right, cut off one bite-size piece at a time. Depending upon your family's custom, you can either change your fork back to the right hand to eat, or eat with the fork in your left hand and your knife in your right.
- Finger food. This is a tough one. If you're at a picnic and you're eating messy ribs, you might be tempted to lick your fingers (and you can probably get away with it then). In a more formal setting, finger food might come as bite-size pieces you can pick up with a fork or appetizer pick.

Kids' Guide to Table Manners
Basic Training
It's never too early or too late to learn the basics of "company manners," and just like learning any skill, practice makes perfect. Here are eight easy ways to exercise your good table manners:
* Wait for the cue to sit down. Unfold your napkin, place it over your lap, but don't pick up your fork just yet.
* Watch and wait. When a parent or the host picks up a fork, that's your green light to do the same.
* If you're eating "family style" and sharing food from serving dishes, pass them from left to right. Take only as much as you will finish, then pass the dish to the person on your right.
* Sit up straight and bring the food to your mouth instead of hunching down over your plate. You are not your dog.
* Speaking of bringing food to your mouth, use your utensils unless everyone is eating finger food. Note: you can eat pizza and still use good manners.
* Chew with your mouth closed; talk with your mouth empty. And if you want to lick your lips, dab them with your napkin instead.
* Ask your family how their day was and share something from your own day; eating in grim silence isn't any fun and making conversation is essential to good table manners.
* Are you finished? Resist the temptation to push your plate away. Place your knife and fork side by side on your plate with the handles pointing right. Straighten your napkin and leave it on the table, near the left side of your plate. Some parents might let you leave the table early, but you should ask permission first.
Know Your Way Around
Which fork do I use? Is that my bread plate? Are you drinking out of my glass? Here's how to face the most complicated place setting with confidence.
* More than one fork? Start from the outside and work your way in. The smallest fork on the left side of your plate is usually for appetizers or salad. If you're having soup, you might find a large spoon on the right side of your plate. If you're having bread, your bread knife will be placed on your bread plate.
* Your bread plate is above and to the left side of your dinner plate.
* Your glassware is above and to the right side of your dinner plate.
* Sometimes a dessert spoon or fork might be placed above your dinner plate.
Social Graces
How to behave like a civilized human being.
* Say please and thank you.
* Try a little of everything you're served, even if you suspect you won't like it. You might be pleasantly surprised. And if you really don't like it, just don’t say anything hurtful.
* Is your family hosting a party? Ask how you can help. Maybe you can take coats or serve hors d'oeuvres.
* Are you dining out? Ask your parents if you can order for yourself. (Hint: don't point at the menu when you order.)
* Do you need to use the restroom? Ask your parent quietly.
* Did you accidentally burp? It could happen. Say "excuse me" and hold back the giggling.
* Are you going to sneeze? Turn your head completely away from the table and cover your mouth with your napkin.
* Here's one even grown-ups forget: if you're a dinner guest, send a short thank-you note the next day.

Bendyk at 2
Mom also added that they really want to feel the essence of my birth, so disturbance by any means is out of the topic.
Here’s how mom and adeee made me one of the happiest ‘lil kiddo on earth…
Prior to my birthday, mom bought me a dozen of colorful balloons and hanged them all over the bedroom. She even tied 3 balloons with a metallic green ribbon attached on it. If my memory serves me right, there were 2 groups of 3 balloons on the walls, 1 group was hanged on the corner, above mom’s computer, 3 balloons lined on the curtain’s string, and one balloon with its metallic green ribbons hanged on the wall.
I was so happy and excited when I saw her and adeee working on the balloons. I felt really special whenever they do me favors. So I’d often give them kisses and hugs in exchange for the love they are showering me. When I grow older, I’d give them more than just kisses and hugs to show how I treasured them as my parents.
Before they went to sleep at 12:02 a.m., they first kissed me and whispered to my ears, “Happy birthday baby! We love you!”
The next morning when I woke up at around 7:00 a.m., I heard them singing a Happy Birthday song, and when I checked them, it wasn’t only mom and dad who were there, but also mima, dadu, uncle jom-jom and uncle bon. I told myself that since birth I am already feeling this special treatment from these loving people. They didn’t grow tired in continuously loving me. Thank you so much!
Mom had to go to work so we left early to drop by to my great grandpa and grandma’s house. These people, including my mom’s aunts and uncles, mom’s cousins, always love to see me. I feel really blessed right from the start, lolz! After being passed from one’s arms to another, we then rode on a jeepney. Mom went to the office, while Adeee and I went to Mama’s (adee’s grandma) house where once again, I have to be kissed and hugged so tightly by mama and adeee’s cousins. I’m used to it, though.
I thought that my birthday would just end that way. At 5:30 p.m., mom arrived, and the three of us headed to the mall. We had a Jollibee treat, where I had my fave French fries, saucy spaghetti, Coke and choco sundae. Mom munched on her saucy spaghetti, French fries and Swirly Bitz-oreo (her favorite), while adeee had his chicken with spaghetti and coke. My mom was trying to capture pictures of us, but I accidentally spilled my Coke so adeee asked the cellphone from my mom and told us that we just have to focus on our food. Hmmm…camera shy, lolz!
So right after bulging our stomach with very delicious treats from bababeee, we then headed upstairs. Mom and dad attempted to buy tickets for the bump car ride, but sad to say, the lady in the booth did not permit me to ride with them. We have no other choice so I just rode on the train. It was really exciting seeing my dad and mom waving for me as I passed by them. Right after the train, we went to the World’s of Fun where I had fun riding on different rides. Mom and dad also had played the arcade, and the winner was of course, my adeee! Poor mommy hehehe!
Before we left the place, I first stood on the dance revo floor where I had my great moves. I really had a great time with my mom and dad. I thought that we’ll be going home already. But to my surprise, mom and dad still bought a cake for me, a number 2 candle, a grilled chicken and ice cream. Hmmm….Is the celebration not yet over?
When we arrived home, I saw mima, dadu, uncle jom-jom and uncle bon-bon preparing foods. So there I found out that the celebration is really not yet over. I was already full, but when I saw all of them including my mom and dad, I still wanna crave for more hehehe! It was just a simple family dinner party, but just the thought of their efforts makes me feel more loved. So I wanna say “Thank you!” for the love you are all giving me.
